Vintage, Eddie Bauer " Kara Koram" Goose Down Pants Original Owner!
I bought this pair of Eddie Bauer " Karakoram" Goose Down Pants new in the mid 1960's.
Other than a few ice fishing trips & duck hunting, these "underwear" pants have remained stored in a smoke free home, clean, and protected closet.
The pants are light green in color, filled with US Goose Down, approximately 650 cubic inches of loft per ounce of down.
The pants weigh under 22 ounces.
I can attest these are the warmest, lightest underwear I have ever used.
The only reason I'm selling them is due to moving southward.
The inner/outer shells are 1.3 oz rip-stop nylon.
The leg cuffs are cotton knit.
Exterior billow, cargo pockets measure approximately 8" deep, by 7" wide, with button closure flaps.
Within each cargo pocket is second pocket with a slit, allowing you to reach inside the down pants...this feature is truly outstanding to warm your hands, or to pee in bitter conditions!
The waist is not elasticized.
The pants are held up by elastic/leather suspenders ( provided with the pants ).

; the pants are true 1960's vintage Eddie Bauer "Karakoram" pants made in the USA (Seattle WA).
The pants have an inseam of 29" w/o cuff, 33" with cuff.
The waist circumference is 45", designed to fit a waist size of 38" - 42".
I am 6' 1" / 200 lbs, and the pants fit me perfect.
These pants are to be worn as underwear.
Cons: There is a tear on the back side of the right cuff, as per the picture.
There is also a stain on the back side of the right lower leg. (pic)
Lastly, there is very small, 1/2" tear (sewn repaired) on the front of the lower right leg.
The right cargo pocket is missing it's button.
Pros:
Other than the few cons listed, the pants are in excellent condition.
The original down loft is outstanding...no "dead zone", no matting... original Karakoram expedition quality.
The pants show very little wear, stitching is almost like new, zipper works perfect, little cuff fray.
The pants have been dry cleaned recently.
